Carys Wyn Althoff-Roberts teaches Pilates and Dancercise Classes in Gwynedd. Carys has been born and raised in Criccieth, where she also lives today. She started ballet training with a member of the Royal Academy of Dance at the age of nine. Any kind of dance has been her passion ever since. She started to compete in contemporary dance competitions and was soon successful. After some local wins, Carys was the runner-up in the EMI Disco World Championship in 1979, and in 1984 she won the Malibu Disco Championship. These successes did also lead to numerous television appearances on “Top of the Pops” and Welsh TV programs such as “Twndish” and “Ser”. Carys was one of the first Aerobics teachers in the Gwynedd area. She also worked as an instructor for dance and Pilates in Novara, Italy and Geneva, Switzerland where she could expand her knowledge and her horizons. Cary has been holding exercise classes in the Gwynedd area for nearly 30 years. She holds qualifications in Exercise and Motion from Fitness Wales, and is a qualified Holistic Therapist.
